Great Purchase, versatile.
By Shehran Islam

I was stoked to get this package because my previous selfie stick was an old squeegee that I had dremeled off the sponge for. Though there are many different similar products like this on the market, this stick had a few advantages; 1, it's extendable, and 2, it has tons of different functions.

First, the fact that it's compact, light and heavy duty makes it great product for taking in a hike or throwing in your backpack for when you need it. I threw my squeegee pole out the day this arrived.

Second, it's an interesting concept, a selfie stick for a phone. This thing extends really far, I'd say something close to 4 feet, but doesn't feel flimsy at full extension. I tried out my iphone 5 for a selfie and it worked as advertised. The phone was snug, but not too tight or damaged, due to a cool spring action holder, which had a nice little rubber grabber to hold on to.

Where this thing shines is the practicability. I can use it for phone selfies, but let's be honest you might get made fun of if you put your iphone on here. What's gold is that you can screw off the iphone attachment and hook up a gopro or other small camera, bc it has a nice screw attached for a tripod mount. The other thing is that it grips well on the hand, and comes with a clutch wrist strap. I don't know what it's for, but there is another screw hole at the bottom of the pole, and if you're crafty enough you can find a use for a floaty attachment or something else.

The only con I have is that they never specified if this is rust proof or if it floats. It's got a nice chrome finish so I don't want to dive in the water just to find out, or risk losing it in a river.

Overall, it's nice for the price, stable with good craftsmanship and super versatile. Definitely way better than an old squeegee pole, and most other Chinese brand extendable poles you'll find on amazon for a similar price.

I love it!
By Pen Name

For the time I've had it the selfie stick has made taking pictures with friends so much easier!
It has an extremely sturdy design, fits my Galaxy S5 in its case tightly enough to where I can shake it and it will not go anywhere. The pole itself can extend all the way out and I have no fear of it breaking and sending my phone tumbling to the ground, its solid, heavy enough to feel strong but light enough to not be annoying when you are carrying it in your pocket.

I'm in love, never took selfies before all that much, but this had made it so easy and convenient it has become a fun activity! I do recommend getting the version with the remote though, because having to rely on a delay is kind of annoying.

Overall, sturdy construction, light so it's not annoying to carry, and very strongly holds the phone in place. 5 out of 5, I will gladly recommend this to anyone!

Extremely Poor Quality
By upra

I would give it 0 stars if I could. This product just cracked where the base screws into upper piece without us ever using this product even once. The picture of the broken stick is attached with this review.

Will Change Your Life
By Raw Smell

Used it for the first time this weekend and it is a game changer and a life changer.

I've never been able to capture a great picture of my entire family (wife and 2 boys) with myself included. It's always one parent with two boys or a horribly composed selfie where it's at a weird angle or multiple heads are cut off.

If you're anything like us, you'll feel incredibly embarrassed and extremely hesitant to actually whip it out in front of strangers, but we fought through, just started snapping away, and got some of the absolute best family photos we've ever taken of ourselves. Now I don't care at all what anyone thinks. It is something I must carry with us wherever we go.

At first we felt like everyone was looking and scoffing at us -- well, actually my wife still thinks that, but I think people were more curious and fascinated by the awesomeness of the stick. There were actually a couple of people who asked where we got it.

It connected to my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 very easily as a bluetooth keyboard. There are two buttons on the remote, one for iPhones and one for Androids. I did not install any kind of app, just the quick bluetooth connection. I go into the normal, default Android camera app on my phone and upon squeezing the Android button on the remote, it triggers the shutter and takes a picture. Note that the remote is on a separate wrist strap from the wrist strap of the stick, but it's a good idea to loop one strap through the other, so the remote is always in grabbing distance while you're holding the stick.

The size of the phone holder on the stick is very large and even goes beyond the size of the Note 3 a little (llke 1/4"). It can be adjusted up or down (you won't want it perpendicular with the stick because then it'll show up in the picture), but more importantly you can tilt it left or right. I was struggling to hold the stick with my left hand while I was on the left of the group awkwardly stretching my arm and stick toward the center of the group toward my right. Then I realized I could rotate the camera to the right so I could keep my arm comfortably on my left.

The length of the stick is ridiculous. It goes out so far you can get a very nice wide shot. We were posing in front of a 30-foot Christmas tree and we got a great photo of us and most of the tree easily.

Even if you're not of the young "selfie generation" this is a must-have just for getting great photos any place and any time without begging a stranger to take a blurry, poorly-composed shot or taking a close-up, ugly arm's-length selfie.

Total Junk
By Hands

Loved this as a Christmas gift for the young man that has everything! He loved it too.... After two family selfie's on Christmas morning he folded it up and the plastic device that holds the expensive iPhone SNAPPED off! Total junk! Returning it to Amazon and trying a different brand to replace this one.

Expectations totally Exceeded!!!!!!!!!
By Kristin Frost

I purchased this for an upcoming trip to NYC. My husband and I wanted a way to take pics without having to ask anyone to do it. I had read through a ton of different reviews for selfie sticks and decided to order this one. I was a bit skeptical because I was torn between getting a stick with the button to press to take the pics on it, or one that had the separate remote. I also didn't completely understand how these things even worked before it arrived. Much to my surprise, it was rather intuitive! There were instructions included as well, but they really aren't necessary. The biggest concern I had when ordering was how sturdy the stick would be when fully extended, as well as how secure it would hold your phone. I have an iPhone 5 without a case, and my husband has one with a case. We have tried both, and the spring on the device seems to be very strong and durable. Both phones fit and were held very securely and I have zero concerns about the phone falling or breaking free from the device. When fully extended, I was surprised how far it actually goes!! The durability is impressive, as the stick itself is very lightweight. When compressed, it fits easily in my purse. I was also pleasantly surprised at the way you are able to move the angle on the device to ensure that you get the best shot. this product has exceeded my expectations so far. The durability of the extended stick, as the firm grip that it provides on the camera to keep it secure could not be better in my book. I would highly recommend and would definitely purchase another one if ever I needed it. Thanks for a great product at a great price!!!

Works as well as my original Apple cable
By Stephen M.

I received this at no cost in exchange for writing a review. Here are my comments.

1. This 4ft cable works just as well as the original cable that came with my iPhone 4S to charge it, but costs a fraction of the price.

2. This is the same thickness as my original cable and sits just as securely in my iPhone when it is being charged (sometimes non-Apple cables fit loosely and can unintentionally be detached from the phone before charging is complete).

3. A velcro loop is included to hold the cable together when it is coiled for travel. That's a nice touch.

Bottom line: The current price of 7.99 for an Apple certified cable that works as well as the original is definitely a good deal.

An excellent replacement for my 30-pin Apple USB cable that was on its last leg ...
By D. Fowler

For some reason, I’ve had a lot of problems finding a 30-pin USB charging cable for my 1st generation iPad. I use both my original iPad and my iPad Air continually and when one is charging, the other tends to be in use. My original 30-pin cable was simply falling apart, as in having to use electrical tape falling apart.

Essentialy my USB cable was slowly becoming an unshielded one. I had to be very careful trying to get it connected to a charge and ultimately had to resort to a high capacity battery pack to get it moving. I was actually leaving the USB cable plugged into the iPad at all times.

The cable connection was just so iffy. I had to play around to hear that all too familiar “blink.” With the Poweradd, which is Apple MFI certified, the connection was immediate and that blink was there. It was quite a relief because I was worried I’d have to buy yet another cable.

FEATURES:

► Apple 30-pin connector to USB Type A cable.
► Certified by Apple (MFi), meets/exceeds Apple’s performance standards.
► 2-in-1 function: charging and transferring data at the same time.
► 4.0 feet(1.2 meter) durable cable completely meet your needs, light-weight and easily coiled.
► Compatible with iPhone 3G/3GS/4/4S, iPad 1/2/3, iPod nano 5th/6th generations and iPod Touch 3rd/4th generations.

I think the problem with older cables I’d hurriedly purchased what that they were equally hurriedly manufactured. In other words, junk. The Poweradd 30-pin is is sturdy and just a tad thicker than my original Apple 30-pin USB. There’s no additional reinforcement at the connectors, but my unfortunate experience was a lesson learned. Don’t yank out the cable.

There’s a very handy attached Velcro tie to keep the cable together after charging. Did it work well? It certainly did and the charge on the now aging iPad was rapid, as expected. I’m quite pleased with this cable and it worked as well as I hoped it would. It’s actually a relief to once again have a decent cable. If down the line it fails to perform, I’ll be back to edit.

First rate construction and MFi certified
By Mike Tarrani

When I was offered a review sample I eagerly accepted. It seems that the only places you can get these 30-pin cables are at the Dollar stores and some of the big box and discount places. Usually the cables they offer are either junk or exorbitantly priced.

This cable is well made and carries the Made For iPod/iPhone/iPad logo. To me that is worth a premium price because it's Apple's stamp of Approval saying that it was manufactured per Apple's standards. Ironically, while it has premium features, its priced about the same as the lower quality cables you find at the discount stores.

Another feature is the fact that this works flawlessly with the OEM charger that came with my iPad 2, and also synchs without hiccup to iTunes on my laptop. Some of the bargain cables either quickly fall apart or will not synch.

Hopefully this company will continue selling this cable because finding one of this quality is becomming more and more difficult. A year ago I would have said, 'meh', but now I say five stars for making a decent, legacy cable available at a realistic price.

Disappointed Again!
By Darlene Morrilly

Only used one of two I but within three weeks the white covering the wires at the connector has separated and wires are exposed. Very disappointed.

As an update to my review.. Poweradd customer service department contacted me regarding my review and sent me a replacement. I appreciate their promt attention to this matter.

And the saga continues with these connectors. Again, this time within two weeks, the connector has failed. It does not take a rocket scientist to realize that the design is flawed. The tabs on the soft rubber wire cover that goes into the hard plastic at top of connector is made too short. A slight wrangle of the wire or a turn when connecting IPad to charge causes this tab to come out of the housing and exposing wires. Would not order or recommend this item. No plea by customer service to do this would change my mind. I originally bought two of these and was sent one replacement by customer service. I have one still in box and I expect that within weeks of opening this one it too will fail. I am not a child but a retired professional who is not rough with item.

You get what you pay for.
By Michelle Castro

If I could give below 1 star, I would. My phone & iPad charge slower than before. & I've had the cord for exactly 1 week, & it's already damaged. Doesn't even work anymore! The wires are exposed too. It easily just broke yesterday. But you get what you pay for.

Update 10/03: They did give me a refund. The one star is not for the company itself. It's for the USB. So I'll give them two stars for promptly messaging me for my concerns with the USB & refunding me. But my commentary & rating stands by the USB.

Ultra nice
By Fabio Ruiz

Just received this case and I'm pleased with the high quality and the premium look of it. I'm posting some images. I got the gold one and it looks sizzling hot! It came in a very nice retail packaging with authenticity label etc. The gold color is metallic and seems to be of same color as the gold phone. It's a two piece case. The inside material is rubbery. Outside material (gold) hard plastic. The edges on the corners are raised on the back so it will prevent the case from sliding and getting scratched (used Spigen cases before and this was a problem as it didn't have the raised corners). The price is amazing for this case as I would have easily paid more.

GREAT!!!
By ECH

bought 2 of these in different colors before the iphone 6 was released. It's a great case. I have a tempered glass screen protector on the phone, which i recommend because this case has no front glass protection.

As far as protecting the iphone, I went bike riding, had the phone in a holster on the handle bar. Hit a hard bump and the phone flew about 10 feet forward, as I was riding about 20 mph downhill...

Phone tumbled a good ways, and bounced in many different ways...

I was devastated but when I picked up the phone, there was no damage, other than a few small minor scuffs on the back plastic, as well as a small scuff on the rubber parts, which rubbed off with a cloth... The phone is perfectly fine...

Love this case!

Great protection without excess bulk
By Mary Phoenix

Great protection without excess bulk. The otterbox cases are wonderful if you are in situations where your phone is exposed to dirt, water and the risk of being dropped on cement or rocks. I find, however, that the added bulk outweighs the added protection. I am fairly careful with my phone but I use it A LOT. The iPhone 6 is a bit slippery, probably due to its sleek design, so I am prone to dropping it. This case provides awesome shock protection with a rubberized inner cover, then adds a hard plastic shell over the skin. This makes for good protection and there is very little added bulkiness. The case is easy to put on and remove also. All access points are exposed as they should be and easily accessed.

Video Review included, Great Case
By Rexx

This case is great for the cost, it is nearly identical to the Spigen brand cases at a fraction of the cost. Slim form factor . Here is a YouTube video review i did on it

Just right
By Control Dynamics

This case is awesome for the price. The rubbery part is more of a hard rubber, rather than soft. Which is a good thing. Soft rubber cases tend to disintegrate over time. This seems like it should last awhile. It's also a pretty slim case and doesn't add a whole lot of bulk or weight.

Unlike most cases, there is plenty of clearance for the headphone connector, which is important if you are using any headphones besides the apple ones.

It fits the phone well, and provides a "lip" around the front which will provide some protection for the front screen.

It would be nice if they added a rubberized part on the back, to prevent the phone from sliding around on a flat surface.

I will update this review after I've used the case for awhile, and report how it's holding up.

Excellent case for IPhone 6, I'm going to buy another to have a 2nd color
By zeksam

I was a bit skeptical when I purchased this $9.99 case. I was becoming very loyal to the dual layer Spigen tough armor and slim Armor cases. I also use my phone on a magnetic mount on my car dash. The magnetic mount is just the best for quickly attaching & unattaching the phone for navigation. The luvvitt case fits perfectly on my iPhone 6 and even gives me space to insert the slim metal piece (for the magnetic mount) between the inner and outer layer of the Luvvitt case.
The Luvvitt Case fits perfectly, is light very comfortable to hold in hand, looks great, doesn't obscure camera or flash, leaves plenty of room for lightening connector and headphone and speaker. Button covers over volume and power also function very nicely. Honestly after writing this review I'm also going to buy a 2nd case but in a second color. Delighted about all aspects of this case including the excellent price!

One happy customer!
By Maribug971

I ordered this case for my new iPhone 6 (the smaller of the two) and it arrived a couple of days before my new iPhone did. When my new iPhone 6 arrived, I popped the case on my phone immediately out of the box and it fit PERFECTLY. I've had no problems with using my headphones, charging the phone, adjusting the volume -- everything works perfectly with the case on the phone so I haven't had a reason or need to take it off since first installing it. It's not the least bit bulky and it's easy to grip in my hands without being slick and I feel my phone is safer with this case on it -- although I haven't dropped it yet and I hope not to put it to that test anytime soon. Lastly, I'm very pleased with the vibrant red color of the case, so I'm one happy customer!

Good job, LUVVITT! I will be a repeat customer!

A Solid Option if You Like a Smooth Case
By Mike D

Provides decent protection, fits great, and allows very good access to all of the phone's controls and functions.
Personally, I prefer something a little less smooth and a little more rubbery, so that it is less likely to slip out of my hand. But that's me. You might like it just fine the way it is.

Sport != tough.
By Amazon Customer

The phone has extremely sensitive glass on the front. When I think of sports I think tough so it is ironic to me that this phone is branded as a sports phone and it is so fragile. Mine fell out of my arm band while doing push ups from a height of approximately 18 inches and it completely shattered. This was 6 days after I activated it, so do not take it to the gym.

There is a design defect in that the the larger hole in the glass for the three protruding hard buttons leaves a 3/16 inch sliver of glass between the buttons and the edge of the phone that has the tinsel strength of not much more than an egg. The phone is advertised to be shock resistant but the screen is not. Sprint reps are nice enough, but they will not replace the phone. The manager told of a customer the week before that dropped theirs in the parking lot the day they purchased it and the screen broke. If you have insurance, replacement through Assurion is going to put you out another $200. Amazon has good replacement screens for the standard Galaxy S5's that are less than $10, but not for the Sport.

Other than the delicate screen and the hideous blue or red covers that cheapen the look of it, the phone is nice and has a lot more features than an iPhone. It doesn't have the fingerprint scanner which I didn't want. Battery life is unbelievable, the cameras and music players are excellent. This phone is chocked full of fitness stuff but unless you run or walk these just get in the way. Strength training apps have recurring costs. Overall, you can tell I do not recommend this phone. Get the standard Galaxy s5 if you are going to get an S5.

BTW - I bought my phone from Sprint on their web site. I wish I had checked for it on Amazon before I did. Amazon has always taken care of me.

Amazing battery life
By unsatisfied customer

I got s5 sport from Sprint store 2 days ago. So far i am very happy with this phone. I have s strange story. I got a s5 in April when it first released. I hated s5 because its battery life was awfull. I had to charge phone at least 2 times a day. I was surprised because everyone else was very happy with s5. Anywayds i gave it back and started to use my s3. I broke my s3 screen 4 days agoso i had to upgrade it. I was waiting for iPhone 6 to be honest. I got s5 sport. Battery life is amazing. I use it all day. At the end of the day i still has 35 %. Very smart phone. I likes sprint wifi call function. I work in a hospital and most of the time signal is very week. But with wifi call there is no problem anymore.
I will update my reviews in 1 month.

Sprint S5 Sport - cell reception is a severe disappointment
By Jack Gross

My Wife and I just got the phones on 8/22/14, upgrading both of our phones from the S3, and immediately noticed a severely degraded cell signal. We have two Sprint towers near our house (within 3-4 miles) that have been upgraded to provide the Sprint Spark service, which is supposed to enhance all aspects of the phone's capabilities. But still, the cell reception is terrible; usually only one bar or none at all. So I called Sprint and they went through several things to try and improve the signal reception from their end, but ultimately resorted to sending us the Airave 2.5 for our house, which is supposed to boost the cell signal in and around our home (up to 5000 sqft), but that too has proven to be a total disappointment as the cell signal only improved up to two or three bars, but only if the phone is forced to the settings of "Home" for roaming and "CDMA" only for mobile network, which then makes the phone nearly useless once we leave the house and we have to change those settings back to their previous state. All in all we like the new fitness features and the improved GUI, which would have made this a great WiFi tablet, but as a phone I give this model a rating of 1.

Excellent phone with great features
By Supplement Fan 541

Excellent phone with great features. The Sport edition has some great benefits, especially if you're concerned about your thumbprint scan spreading throughout the internet, as it does not have the thumbprint scanning security feature. It has physical buttons to be more water resistant.

Love this phone!
By Christina M Basye

Had the galaxy 3, loved it, but needed a faster processor and wanted to upgrade for more bells and whistles. Ordered the HTC one M8, loved the speakers on the front, hated the camera and being limited to only 4 screens to customize. Got this one instead, absolutely love everything about it! Sound is better than the g3, camera gained a few mp I believe, much faster with all I put on it, great bells and whistles! Very happy!

Good upgrade from S3.
By Dathon

Coming from an S3, this S5 Sport is much more responsive, and battery lasts a lot longer. Only issue is finding cases for it, since it is slightly different size then the regular S5.

Sleek and pretty
By Amazon Customer

First, I bought mine through Sprint... I just received this phone this week after breaking the screen on my Galaxy S3. I love the Samsung products... in the family we have Note 3 and 7 and Tab 7. So excited for this one. It is early and I'll try to update after using a while. I like the new look to the Settings menu. I like that there are actual buttons for home, back and menu, not touch pad. The battery is lasting way longer than my S3. I haven't been able to find any cases or accessories except on Sprint site, so hoping that there are some available soon. It has a pedometer app, but without an armband or such it is only counting steps from my purse. I have not tested the water resistance. I am sure I will drop it at some point (see previous statement re: S3 death).

I loved my s3
By George Herindeen

I upgraded from a galaxy s3 and switched over from Verizon.

I loved my s3, the only problem I had was the phones only last about a year before they become a hassle to use from wear and tear or something.

When I first received my s5 it it was working fine but when I did the software update the phone went haywire and would turn on and off on it's own. I read a lot different forums and tinkered with the phone to find out it was because I was using my s3's sd card and it wasn't formatted for the s5 or something so I transfered all my important files to my computer and then formatted it and now my the phone works just as how it should be. Plus, I was able to transfer all the music, photos, and contacts back onto the sd card without a problem.

I went with the sport edition because it is more durable than the orignial s5. I dislike the color options (Blue, or red) and the fact this version isn't too popular yet so there aren't too many accessories. However it definitely feels a lot better in your hand compared to the regular version. The rubber backplate makes the phone feel very secure unlike the problems with AT&T's active version. The button on the active version is pointless due to the amount of customization you can do on the phone itself.

It's stupid how most of the new technology is designed for active lifestyles. I mostly longboard and hike so I have to use the cycling mode for when I longboard but they do have a hiking mode which is nice. Even though I don't like how they went with the active lifestyle niche the quality of their S Health application is very nice. It might motivate me to exercise more.

I mainly went with the s5 for two main reasons: waterproof and the camera.
Of course I had to try and see if it was water proof. As soon I got the phone I dunked it in a cup of water and it worked fine. I only realized after that my phones back plate was not completely secure but it still worked!!!!! The problem with this is it only works with freshwater. The guy at the store told me it doesn't work with saltwater because it will decay the protective liner. I didn't plan on swimming with my phone but it would be nice to know it would be safe from the ocean. At least I don't have to worry about the rain destroying my phone again.
The camera and video recording is really nice with all the different modes and the HDR and selective focus options. The camera is horrible in low light and works best with natural lighting.

Like I mentioned before I love the customization you can do in the phone itself. Even though Google is very invasive I don't mind it and it makes my life easier and my phone seem very high tech.

I rated it 4 stars because it could definitely be better. However, I think it is the best phone on the market so far so I am happy with my purchase.

Check Amazon cell phone cases for Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 5 Sport
By Carolyn Jacob

I upgraded to this model on my account with Sprint in Sept 2014. I was fascinated by this sleek beauty, but got angry same day that Sprint didn't have any cell phone cases for this Sport model. I think the only one they had in store was the 1 piece black case that snaps on it for $30, and this other gel type one that costed more. I checked their website and still nothing. I couldn't believe it. While in my "test drive" mode for this new upgrade I checked on Amazon......tadaaahhh!!! and they saved me from taking this model back. I have six different cases now, some of them are the exact same but different colors. I see today there are more retailers advertising their nice cases for Samsung Galaxy S 5 Sport phone. These are very good quality, some leather, most between $5- $10.

Excellent phone with great features. The Sport edition has some great benefits, especially if you're concerned about your thumbprint scan spreading throughout the internet, as it does not have the thumbprint scanning security feature. It has physical buttons to be more water resistant.

Like that the tabs at the bottom are buttons and not just virtual.

S5 Sport is great

Got this for my gf, she loves it. Great phone. Only issue is currently there are no cases for it out in the market. Be super careful to not damage it, or pay the extra $$ for the insurance.

Best phone I've ever had.
By velvet serpent

I love this phone!! The screen is beautiful. The apps work together. The OS is stable, and it does everything that i want. So much more reliable than my iphone 4s!!. The camera takes great pictures, and the phone has no issues with sending them. It was simple yo order it from Amazon. No lame lines and waiting. The phone was way cheaper than anywhere else. AMAZON got this to me in two days, it was even a Sunday. Once i had the phone, I just had to go to my sprint account online to change phones. With that done, and the phone charged all it activated very easily. Very happy with this purchase. We upgraded all of our other phones through Amazon after that!! Great deals, saved time, and no hassel activation.

Excellent Value - would buy again and again.
By EJ Nonmacher

I bought this phone for my wife as an upgrade to the HTC Vivid.

They key to being happy with this phone is to understand what it is (and what it's not).

It is a mid range phone, with mid range features. It is not going to compare with an S5, LG G3, or other higher end competitors.

That said, we have gotten above average value for this phone. It takes great pictures but needs a lot of ambient light to do so. Low light situations will leave you disappointed.

It moves between apps quickly, without a sluggish feeling.

The two front facing speakers are louder than my LG G3 and sound better than other cell phone speakers.

Battery life seems good as well, getting more than a full day on each charge.

The bad things:

the lower resolution of the screen itself, which is noticiable, but not too bad.
The processor is noticeably slower than my G3 when playing intensive games. They are still playable, just not as smooth.

My friends and family look to me for recommendations on cell phones and this is the phone I recommend (as of 10/6/2014).

HTC DESIRE - YOU WILL WANT ONE
By M. Miller

Very nice light weight phone. Perfect starter smartphone for my daughter.
Good battery life, display is much better than expected by reviews, but obviously not as good as my LG G3 (duh)
HTC has come alone way, and this is an entry level phone. Great job HTC!

For smaller hands and short term contracts
By Mike Tarrani

I obtained this as a replacement at my local Verizon store. It replaced a lost HTC Droid Incredible for a member of my household. I am going to directly compare this to the lost phone.

The reason I subtracted a star is because of the sealed battery, which I will discuss in more detain below.

If you are accustomed to the HTC brand's user interface this is going to feel like a comfortable pair of old shoes. Every other feature (except the battery) is a dramatic improvement over the last generation of HTC Android phones.

Reception is dramatically better on this phone, as is battery life. Another feature that I especially like is you can insert up to a 128GB SD card in this one. That is twice the additional storage that my year old Samsung Note 3 accepts, Considering that my Note 3's 64GB SD card is almost full with music I am suffering SD envy.

There are a few things that I do not like. Foremost is the sealed battery. If you intend to keep this phone for more than 24 months you will probably experience the same degradation of use time that the Droid Incredible exhibited. On that phone after about two years the battery had deteriorated so badly that it would not hold a charge for more than two hours of light use. That was rectified by purchasing a new battery (less than ten bucks from an eBay seller) and swapping it out. You do not have that option with this phone. It would have been a deal breaker, but when I replaced the lost Droid Incredible with this one I used the Edge program, so am not going to be stuck with this one long enough to experience the battery issue.

The product description claims fifteen hours of use time, This phone has not been tested to that point, but it is very good about maintaining a high percentage of charge with a few hours a day of actual talk and data use. I am inclined to believe the fifteen hour claim. Do note, though, that as the phone ages and battery charging cycles approach 500 (less than two years of nightly charging), the battery's ability to hold a charge is going to drop significantly.

A few final notes: this is perfect for folks with smaller hands. I originally upgraded the lost phone to a Samsung Galaxy S5, which was too large for the household member's smaller hands. The camera (still and video) is on par with my Note 3, which I use these days as mu primary camera. The screen is also much better than the Droid Incredible, and web browsing is much faster as well.

Overall, if you are getting this on the Edge program the weaknesses will not affect you unless you keep this phone beyond the upgrade term. If you have smaller hands and are frustrated by the fact that phones seem to be getting bigger, this is a viable choice and one of the smaller Android smartphones still available.

Great Phone!!!
By Suzette Russell

This is a great phone! Basically a smaller m8 aside from the much more reasonable size and some small features. Great size and feels and is very well made. It has a smaller processor but you can hardly tell unless your playing extremely big games, but it still is a great phone for the average here and there gamer. I would definitely recommend!

A solid phone you won't regret
By Mr. Bruce

I really like this phone except for the sounds settings and the mass text settings. To change between vibrate and silent you have to go into the settings, you can't just use the buttons on the side. And to send a mass text, to add recipients you can't go down the list of contacts and check them off, it only lets you add one recipient at a time. Other than that, I really like how this phone handles and that the screen isn't insanely big. It doesn't seem to lag which was my largest problem with my last phone. It also has really good cameras, both forward facing and rear.

Don't Buy This Phone 3 Bad Ones in a ROW!!!! Google "HTC One Microphone Problem"
By jrt

I have been a Verizon customer for over a decade with 4 phones in the family.

We had an upgrade and purchased an HTC One Remix from Verizon online on 9/26/14, the microphone stopped working and the Verizon store replaced it on 10/05/14. The second phone microphone and speaker stopped working and the Verizon store replaced it on 10/17/14. The third phone speaker stopped working and the Verizon store offered to replace it on 11/03/14 but informed me that the 1 YEAR WARRANTY DOES NOT RESTART WITH EACH REPLACEMENT BUT FROM THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT DATE!!!! So asymptotically if your phone breaks every day for a year, the policy is to replace it 365 times and then tell you you're out of warranty on day 366!!

Rather than flunk the IQ test, I insisted upon a different phone. The manager of the store attempted to credit and then sell me a Samsung only to have the Verizon Software deny the transaction payment. She let me run to an ATM and pay the difference in cash!! She deserves a promotion for trying to help a customer get a working phone despite the corporate command and control management of the stores.

The MIGHTY VERIZON is no Costco when it comes to customer service.

phone doesn't work!
By balcony gardener

I would put 0 stars if I could. My phone worked great for ~ 2 months, I had no complaints, when suddenly outgoing audio on phone calls stopped working. I could hear the incoming audio just fine but no one could hear me. After multiple factory resets, hours spent researching how to fix it, and 2 weeks back at HTC for repairs (they wanted me to pay shipping to them - I refused), my phone came back to me still not functional. After calling HTC about the unfixed problem, they suggested I send it back to them. As before, there would be no replacement phone during the repair process and, quite possibly, the phone would still not be repaired. Definitely not impressed with this phone (or company)!
